    • He was also the Founding Chairman of the All Party Group for the Fund for the Replacement of Animals in Medical Experiments. During his 36 years in Parliament Roger has been a member of Parliamentary delegations to Norway (Arctic Warfare Training), Washington, The United Nations (New York) , The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Cuba, Cyprus, Zambia , Gabon, Namibia, Trinidad and Guyana.

    He was a member of the Council of Europe from 1987 to 1989 and has served as an International Election Observer in Outer Mongolia, South Africa., Mozambique, Ghana, The Gambia, Kenya, Botswana, Macedonia, Armenia, Georgia, The Russian Federation, Tunisia and Ukraine..

    He also completed an assignment with VSO and the Ghana Federation for the Disabled.
